Upon purchase, you'll receive an official Delivery Order issued directly by our bonded warehouse in Scotland, clearly showing you as the legal owner. This document is recognized industry-wide and gives you complete ownership rights over your cask. You can verify ownership directly with the warehouse for absolute peace of mind.
Where is my whisky cask stored? Is it secure?
Your whisky cask is stored in our secure, HMRC-approved bonded warehouse in Glenrothes, Scotland, managed by our trusted partner, The Single Cask Ltd. This warehouse ensures ideal conditions for maturation, is fully insured, and regularly audited, guaranteeing your cask’s security and quality.
Can I visit my cask in Scotland?
Absolutely. Visits to our bonded warehouse can be arranged by appointment, providing you an opportunity to see your cask firsthand and experience Scotland’s whisky heritage up close.
What returns can I expect from my whisky cask?
Our carefully structured exit options are designed to maximise your returns when your casks reach optimal maturity (typically between 5 to 10 years).
Upon Maturation
If selected for premium bottling by The Single Cask or through our independent partners, your cask will be purchased at a guaranteed 6% annual compounded return providing a premium exit linked to a distinguished whisky brand.
Early Termination
For added security, after the first 12 months you may sell your cask back to us at a guaranteed 2% annual compounded return ensuring your investment remains protected, no matter the market conditions.

What is the recommended holding period?
Whisky cask ownership typically mature best over 5–10 years. However, our Early Termination option provides flexibility to exit earlier if required, while our Upon Maturation generally activates once your whisky reaches an optimal maturity suitable for premium bottling.
Besides purchasing the cask, what additional costs will I face?
Transparency is crucial. Additional costs included in your purchase are all covered this incudes, Annual storage and insurance fees (clearly outlined upon purchase) buying back and for Bottling or sale of your cask.
What risks are involved in whisky cask investment?
While whisky casks generally appreciate with age, all investments have inherent risks such as market fluctuations and evaporation losses ("angel's share" of 1-2% per year). Our structured buy-back agreements substantially mitigate these risks, giving you greater security and predictable returns.
Is whisky cask investment regulated?
